The northeast needs to commit to smoking out the fuckers in the senate by any means necessary. New Hampshire democrats especially should feel very real social shame for electing two notable cowards. NY too, I feel fucking apoplectic right now.

"Hyde language" would be a ban on anything related to abortion. So, any Senate Democrat that caves is agreeing to vote to implement a nationwide abortion ban in exchange for healthcare subsidies.
Democrats are likely to get a vote on an extension later. But they've already gotten similar votes. Republicans already vowing to block an extension without major changes to the ACA, like adding Hyde language.

i think the caucus needs to go fucking ballistic on the melts, like full on struggle session to get them to toe the line, but that depends on the caucus being that fucking pissed off at the melts... which we have to wait and see about
I think if senate mods want to break, they will break, but it's really important they do it without cover from the caucus or leadership

The key thing to watch here: they fired a Wired political reporter. That’s the title doing the most effective, pointed work. Teen Vogue’s stuff was culturally impactful, but less focused on investigating the administration. Within the Condé portfolio, Wired and the New Yorker are the canaries.
New: Conde Nast fired four employees who were among a group that confronted the company's head of human resources on Wednesday over the decision to fold Teen Vogue into Vogue/recent cuts. Employees who were fired included journalists from the New Yorker, Wired, and Bon Appétit.
