When you see episode stills, and you’ve read the book so you know all the juiciest payoffs are coming up, and you STILL end up with your heart in your throat from the tension and that sweet little “but maybe they won’t“ feeling — that’s romance at its finest. Favorite Heated Rivalry episode yet.

We laugh about Carpenter being in his weed and video games era (and good for him) but there are very good reasons he might have gotten sick of the industry. It screwed him over repeatedly and even though he eventually got his genre flowers, he is still obscenely underrated as a serious filmmaker.
Just thinking about how THE THING came within shouting distance of ending John Carpenter's career.

A lot of people outside Canada want to watch Heated Rivalry, which is awesome, but the producers can’t just, like, put it in other countries. Media outlets in other countries need to pick up the show, so the thing to do is tell your favourite streamer to get the show!❤️
