And yes. There are lots of badly written sex scenes across media. And it is BECAUSE people don't respect them as a skill... And because people don't respect writers who have worked hard at that skill.

As a kid & teen I was good at math when I could use paper (like, scores of 95%+) and terrible at brain math (have to count on my fingers). It was repeatedly made clear to me the first meant NOTHING and the second meant I was an abject failure as a human being. To this day impostor syndrome is brutal
I do think that some people who didn’t experience being Bad at Math in the 2000s and 2010s are probably really underrating how demeaning that experience was at the time
speaking on the basis of being a humanities type who struggled with math (until I learned to program later on) who felt that society was giving me a constant message in the 2000s that I was a worthless parasite who would die in a ditch on that basis alone

The good thing about swtor updating at fucking noon or whatever is that by the time I finish my workday, probably all the most annoying bugs will have already been uncovered and patched, and there will be video of the funniest ones for me to peruse at my leisure without having to suffer them myself
