Shy, retiring, wide-awoke, Cotswold-based éminence-grise. Cheekbones like geometry and eyes like sin.

Minute by minute, day after day; I think it's over but I just can't get away.

This is the way...
I always pose for the parcel delivery photo as if I'm a top model on a fashion catwalk. I'm a 43 year old bloke with a dad bod and beard.

Hmmm.
Today's earworm does not please me. For it is a persistent one...

"Salagadoola menchicka boola Bibbidi-bobbidi-boo,
Put 'em together and what have you got? Bibbidi-bobbidi-boo"

Today my ridiculous brain is treating me to an earworm selection of excerpts from Handel's Messiah.

I know!

Good on Penn Jillette. Having to come to terms with your entire political identity and philosophy being wrong is not easy and most people could never do it.

So love wobbegongs. Everything is good about the wobbegong. Its name. Its flattened Oscar the Grouch face. Its frondy bits. Its lazy life as a hungry rug. And it’s a shark. Outstanding animal 10/10
The Tasselled Wobbegong is a master of disguise that can eat a fish almost as big as itself in one gulp. It's classified as a shark, but when it lays on the sea floor it looks like a harmless rug if you manage to see it. But with powerful jaws and sharp teeth they are no fish to mess with.

I know statistics are poorly understood and are misused. But facts matter

Between the 1991, 2001, 2011 and 2021 Census *every* ethnic group in the UK has become *less* geographically segregated and *all* groups, majority and minorities, are more likely to interact with people not like them

At what point do Starmer, the Tory advisors he's surrounded himself with, and his cabinet of cowards look at the polls and realise that keeping Daily Mail readers' obsessions and talking points in the headlines every day has been a fucking disaster?

Data centres are energy hungry but what if we could use their waste heat to heat our homes?

That's exactly what happens in places like Finland: Cities are tapping the vast amounts of waste heat generated by data centres, and feeding it into district-heating networks.

How about we worry less, as a society, about whether individuals might be cheating to get a disability accommodation or some help buying food, and more about whether extremely wealthy people and corporations are paying their fair share of taxes?
