I quit Twitter years ago, when Muskie announced he was thinking of buying it. It was a toxic place that was not good for my sanity, even before the takeover. Now here I am, on BlueSky, following the same news junkies & journalists I did on Twitter. I'm sorry, future Bill. I didn't mean to hurt you.

pretty wild statement re: Republican Chris Madel drop from race for MN governor:

"Saying he cannot support the national GOP's 'stated retribution on citizens of our state, nor can I count myself a member of a party that would do so."

Send Bovino to The Hague
BASH: You said he wanted to 'massacre law enforcement.' It doesn't like like that

BOVINO: I believe the fantastic training our law enforcement partners have prevented any specific, ahhh, shootings of law enforcement. So good job by our law enforcement in taking him down before he was able to do it

15 years ago I borrowed a bulletproof vest from a reporter so I could report from a war zone. I held onto it after I returned.

Last week the reporter finally asked for it back because he is headed to Minneapolis.

I was a sensitive kid. I loved cats. I had OCD, undiagnosed.

When I was 9, a fraternity brother tortured a cat to death in my hometown. The details even now are beyond imagination. archive.is/xdmUL

I was traumatized for years from reading the news story.

The torturer? Now the head of the NRA.

From this moment forward (and before, but clearly now):

-If you work for ICE.
-If you vote for money for ICE.

You are complicit. This is the gestapo. You're on the wrong side. You can't pretend not to know.

National guard to control protests but not ICE.

They protect power not the people.

There are a lot of career civil servants in DHS who are now cogs in a machine whose primary function is to kill and terrorize their fellow citizens. If they choose to stay on after today, their friends, family and everyone they meet will be judging them accordingly.

We need Democrats who are willing to put their bodies and reputations on the line and understand this fucking moment.

If you have the power, prosecute them. If you don’t yet, make that your mission until it’s done. I know it’s mine.

This isn’t a drill. This is an emergency. Act like it.

It’s not enough to say Abolish ICE. It’s not enough to vote no on ICE funding. It’s not enough to confront Kristi Noem or Greg Bovino with Stern Words.

If you are a leader, what are you doing to protect your community? How are you using your power, privilege, and position to confront this threat?

There has been an increasing sense in Minneapolis that we are on our own, that our elected representatives are unwilling and/or unable to take action to get these murderous Nazi thugs out of our community. I really hope that changes today. The time for pleading TV hits ended weeks ago.

ICE attempted to order local police from the scene, but Chief Brian O'Hara refused, sources also told the Tribune. O'Hara instructed his officers to preserve the scene.

ICE just gunned down ANOTHER person, beating a man half to death before shooting him at point blank range. What the fuck are we doing?

ARREST ICE NOW. PROSECUTE ICE NOW.

I will not rest until every single one of these murderers is held accountable to the communities they terrorize.

@governorwalz.mn.gov, your residents are being killed in the streets by violent thugs. It's well past time to call in the National Guard for protection. Even if it's protection from the federal government.

The floor is now The Hague.

🚨HOLY CRAP. An ICE whistleblower just revealed a secret memo authorizing ICE officers to break into homes without a judicial warrant, which DHS's own legal training materials say is unconstitutional!

ICE then hid the memo from the public, passing it along by word of mouth and private conversation.

Whistleblowers just shared a memo showing DHS instructing ICE to force their way into peoples' houses without a proper warrant. Why is this not on all the networks right now? This is a criminal conspiracy to violate rights under color of law.
