LA28 confirms Casey Wasserman will remain chair of its organizing committee.

"We found Mr. Wasserman's relationship with Epstein and Maxwell did not go beyond what has already been publicly documented."

Earlier today, Abby Wambach quit his agency.

I'm disappointed but not surprised Wasserman hasn't been ousted yet... but it's SUCH a bad look for him to still be in a leadership role. Based on what's been released, Wasserman was definitely part of the circle of power that enabled Maxwell/Epstein's abuse for so many years.
Despite all of this, and just a few hours after Wambach’s statement, the LA 2028 board releases a statement offering full throated support for Wasserman to continue leading Los Angeles Olympic Committee. An outside legal firm, it says, carried out a review and it’s been decided Wasserman stays on.

Like 75% of the US Olympic curlers are from Minnesota. A lot of them curl out of two clubs in Saint Paul, one club is in Frogtown, a neighborhood that has been very heavily targeted by ICE. These curlers are good neighbors.
US Olympic Curling Team member speaks out against ICE:

"I'm proud to represent Team USA. But we'd be remiss if we didn't mention what's going on in Minnesota and what a tough time it's been. What's happening is wrong. There's no shades of gray."

Halftime show was exquisite and yes the camera work was a big part of it! Also the choreography. A plus, 10/10.
The camerawork in that show, much less for a live event, was just insane

I've been running my sliding sport website for nearly 15 years. This is my fourth Winter Olympics I've covered in one way or another.

By far, I've seen more enthusiasm for the Olympics here on Bluesky than I remember on any other social media platform. It's legitimately not even close.
