and again - literally just the hobby horse of some random anonymous Twitter accounts, enraging how quickly they managed to turn their horrid posting into actual government policy and rhetoric
“The Motability scheme was set up to protect the most vulnerable. Not to subsidise the lease on a Mercedes Benz,” Reeves says.

Misleading and nasty in equal measure.

Reeves having a dig at Polanski, saying the only thing that would go up if he was in charge would be debt and inflation.

Inflation is a whole percentage point higher since Labour have been in power.

There's actually nothing this government cannot fuck right up, is there?

When are the Grown Ups we were promised getting here?
BREAKING The entire Budget has leaked early

- £22BN of headroom
- £26bn tax rises
- Freeze on tax thresholds
- Pay per mileage confirmed
- Changes to capital gains

There's a lot of attempts at mitigating what he did here. Normal family man, royal marine, moment of madness, road rage etc.

This geezer drove a people carrier into a crowd ffs, he should not be in polite society. www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2025...

Another cracking idea from the government, which I’m sure will absolutely not backfire in any way.
💥Jury trials for all except most serious crimes such as rape, murder and manslaughter set to be scrapped under radical proposals drawn up by David Lammy.

Proposals drew swift backlash from senior lawyers who said they would not reduce court backlogs & could “destroy justice as we know it”.

I feel like there should perhaps be some limits on people advocating for their own existence pointedly being called "activists".

What's she meant to do, lay down and die or turn back into a boy to make them happy? What is life without a voice?

Excellent as ever from Zack, but the paper mache head of Rachel Reeves is giving me nightmares.
@zackpolanski.bsky.social : ""We have a housing crisis, a climate crisis and an inequality crisis, and what we all want to see from this budget is not tough choices for working class communities, for migrants, for disabled people, but tough choices for multi millionaires & billionaires"

Are the press going to run front pages and news items for months to ensure this man never reaches high office or is that only for Jeremy Corbyn ?
How else is racism delivered than in "a hurtful or insulting way”?

So reassuring to see again how how easy it is for racists to forget their funny bantz from decades ago and dress it yup as schoolboy japes. Not so easy for those who suffer it

I kind of feel like this should be written on a bus.
The UK is losing up to £250m a day in lost tax revenue due to the economic impact of Brexit, House of Commons Library analysis for the Lib Dems suggests.

Brexit has blown a "black hole of [up to] £90 billion a year in the public finances" the party says. Even under lower estimates the hit is ~£65bn

I'd like to say that I got into art as a fuck you to anyone thought my social class was beneath it, but I've always just been drawn to visual and graphic stuff.

Films, paintings, comics, games, design, I never really cared what it was, I was just into it.

Just had yet another letter from the hospice I support. I play their lottery every month and made am extra donation a few months back. I'm finally starting a new job next week after not working since July.

Someone get Will Stancil, tell me my economy isn't dying.
I honestly don't know a third sector organisation who aren't having to model the outcome of them closing down in the next year.
Challenges deepening across the charity sector.

Rising demand, falling income, fewer volunteers, and growing regulation are pushing charities – especially small ones – towards crisis.
