Democrats can retaliate against these GOP gerrymanders with new maps in Illinois, Maryland, Oregon, & Virginia.

They could flip 7 GOP seats to make up for this & new GOP maps in Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio, & possibly soon Indiana.

Imposing costs is the only way to deter the GOP from doing this

(Data) This.. cool "S". What are it's origins?

(Me) It's one of earth's most profound mysteries, Data.

(Data, connecting the diagonal lines) Intriguing.

The current US Secretary of Education holds a bigger stake in TKO ownership than The Rock and Nick Khan combined, but sure, might not get political.
"I think it'd be awesome" 🙄🤮

10/10 review. When it comes to games and controversy I KNOW I can count on Gio to come correct.
Horses' only sin is that its broad themes don't entirely pay off its loaded imagery. Otherwise, it's an effectively uncomfortable games that turns life's mundane humiliations into surreal horror. If anything, its bans fill in its thematic gaps for it. My review. www.polygon.com/horses-banne...

Public smoking bans just got in under the wire, too. Younger folks might not realize how rare they used to be and how hard they were to enact.
it is MIRACULOUS that we got rid of lead paint and asbestos when we did. if we had tried that today, there would be people whining about how we're restricting their rights.
Bring back residential-use lead paint, you cowards.

Hush was a master class in reporting. It should be taught in journalism classes. Not cancelled.
On the day that @opb.org CEO Rachel Smolkin posted this video, saying OPB’s funding gap of $5 million was closed, I was also told by the Chief Content Officer that Hush was canceled. Eighty percent of my income, and my health insurance - gone. I was given no reason for the cancellation. 1/x

when Michael Phelps was dominating US swimming there was endless coverage of all his genetic advantages. His wingspan, the way his body processed lactic acid, on and on and on. Nobody, not one person, floated the idea of kicking him out of the sport for genetic advantages
“I just have concerns about fairness in sport” - no, you don’t. There’s nothing fair about elite sports. You’re just looking for post hoc justification because we give you the ick

They’ve siloed themselves off from vast fields of inquiry and knowledge, which means that they’re not just deeply incurious and uninteresting but also deeply unaware of how incurious and how uninteresting they actually are.
It's kind of mind-blowing how these tech dorks think they're so smart and have the utmost confidence in their genius, while actual smart people are constantly doubting themselves and critiquing their own arguments.
