Timid budget, timid Labour. If you’re done with continuity Tory politics that protects wealth & polluters while services fall apart, it’s time to go Green. Together, we can demand real investment, real climate action and an economy that works for people, not billionaires: greenpartyni.org/join.

Families left cold. Kids locked in poverty. Schools and hospitals squeezed while polluters profit. We need real transformation - fair taxes, green jobs, proper funding for public services and a future free from self-harming austerity. Not one step backward.

The 50 wealthiest families own more wealth than the bottom 50% of the population.

How can this Labour Government say this is a "cost of living" budget and refuse to tax the rich?

They care about protecting power and wealth. And cost of living is a buzz phrase for them. Dire.

Safe Leave Act was a Green Party victory. It was fought for & championed by Rachel Woods when she served as the Green Party MLA for North Down, and passed in March 2022. Now watch as other Stormont parties take credit for “future implementation” whilst domestic abuse victims continue to wait.

1. THIS BILL PASSED THE ASSEMBLY IN MARCH 2022.

2. IT STILL HAS NOT BEEN IMPLEMENTED AND WHEN IT IS NOBODY SHOULD GET SLAPS ON THE BACK FOR DOING SOMETHING 4+ YEARS OVERDUE.

3. SAID BILL WAS BROUGHT BY THEN N. DOWN MLA RACHEL WOODS, FROM THE GREEN PARTY. NOT THE ECONOMY MINISTER.

Labour’s awful migrant policies are helping pave the way for the racist far right. And they are also building a gold-plated shed at the end of that road - full of tools for a far right Govt to oppress us all.

I have written to the Chief Executive of the IFA to raise serious concerns around safeguarding procedures, following Linfield signing a sponsorship deal with a convicted sex offender.

The IFA needs to show leadership and that it is not left to fans to highlight such matters.

It’s disgraceful that a @greenpartyni.org bill passed in the last Assembly mandate has still not been introduced by the failing executive at Stormont.
The Sinn Fein Minister & her department have failed the vulnerable, who need help to escape domestic violence. Northern Ireland needs #SaveLeaveNow

according to the EHRC, if you look too trans, you can be banned from all toilets. if they don't provide an alternative? well that happens.

the institutional cruelty to our community is baffling.
If the EHRC had their way we'd see all women forced back into wearing only skirts and dresses and wearing their hair long lest they be suspected of being trans and banned from going to the toilet.

That's what this is suggesting. Masculine women being denied access alongside trans people.

The Supreme Court ruling on mandatory Christian worship in NI schools is a major step forward.

Huge respect to the father and daughter who took this case.

No child should be pushed into a worldview that isn’t theirs. It’s time for modern, balanced and pluralistic RE in NI.

I work in social care, and I know firsthand how badly this pay decision has hit workers and will impact the families relying on us. As a Green Party councillor, I’m standing with those affected and pushing for a fair, reliable social care system that treats people with dignity.
1/ Social care in Northern Ireland is in meltdown. Care workers were promised a fair pay increase, but the government’s U-turn has destroyed that hope. Thousands are trapped on wages that can’t even cover basics, while vulnerable people lose vital support.

We all need to say this very clearly:

NO BAILOUTS FOR THEFT-TECH!

Expropriate their asses instead.

They stole from all of us and fully plan to burn the planet.

They owe us - not the other way around. 1/3

BBC news once edited footage of Orgreave during the miners' strike in 1984-85 to give the erroneous impression that violence had been initiated by picketing miners, when in fact it was mounted police that had charged pickets. No one at the BBC resigned or lost their job because of this.

Remembrance Day is about honouring all who suffered the cost of war, military and civilian alike. We remember with respect and without division. The best tribute we can pay is working for peace, justice and a future where conflict isn’t the legacy we hand to the next generation.
