Why are the DUP and the TUV so obsessed with other people's genitals?

It's weird, it's creepy and it needs to be called out.
The real reasons the DUP are spending so much time talking about useless culture wars is because they are 1. Terrified of the TUV and 2. Totally and utterly incompetent in government.

The problem isn't pronouns, it's poverty, pollution, and power.
Good to see the UK government finally make the decision to recognise the state of Palestine 🇵🇸

However, it's frankly the bare minimum at a time when the UK still arms the genocidal Israeli government. There should be nothing short of a full arms embargo! #FreePalestine
The four UK Green Parties join Green Party Ireland's call for withdrawal of state broadcasters from Eurovision if Israel takes part.

Hearing local political reps spout their own ideas of the motive behind Charlie Kirks murder is galling and comes across so disingenuous, especially when no one has been caught or charged.

Political violence in all its forms is terrifying, and I fear where the US is heading.
🌍 Great news for our communities in Ormiston, Balmoral, and Collin!

At committee tonight, we agreed that by March 2026, 23k more households will have access to glass recycling in phase two of Belfast City Council's glass recycling expansion.

Any questions, let me know 👇
Violent mobs of racist scumbags attacking folks in the street in East Belfast and causing mayhem for weeks, and our 5 MLAs and local MP have gone missing. Where's the political leadership?!

How long before someone is very seriously injured or killed by these thugs?
Exciting to visit the Strand Cinema today and see progress on its redevelopment 👏

Halfway there after major works (incl. 10 months of asbestos removal). Funded by:

A huge win for East Belfast! 🎥
SDLP & Alliance cruising around Lough Neagh filming “concern” videos… the same parties that pushed the Going for Growth disaster that destroyed it. Nothing says irony like arsonists turning up to watch the fire they lit.
NI’s self-proclaimed Christian politicians are tripping over themselves to block medical care for a few injured Gaza children, citing “protecting our own.”

The same healthcare system they’ve gutted for decades.

The hypocrisy of these jokers is staggering.
If it's not Drag Queens, then it's Trans people. If it's not Refugees, then it's someone else.

The DUP will jump on every single culture war going, just to distract from the fact their Ministers are presiding over record levels of child poverty and a housing crisis.
Where's the concern from these folks about violence against women & girls? Where's the outrage or the protests when a woman is murdered by her partner?

If only those expressing faux outrage actually got exercised about real issues, rather than drag queens reading story books 🙄
Row erupts as PSNI escort drag queens from venue after protest at children storytelling event
A row has erupted over a drag queen storytelling event in east Belfast last week.

34 today, it has become a tradition to take the dog for a walk up Divis and the black mountain on my birthday. Good day for it! 🎂
Yet another spineless, morally bankrupt statement from Starmer

The UK says it might recognise a Palestinian state, but only if Israel behaves? Pathetic

Recognition should’ve happened long ago. Anything short of an arms embargo & full recognition is a betrayal of basic humanity.
UK to recognise Palestinian state unless Israel ends Gaza crisis
Israel must take ‘substantive steps’ to end ‘appalling’ situation in Gaza, says Keir Starmer

Belfast Pride brings out the very best of our city, including the largest and most inclusive parade in our city 💪

Always happy to see our city hall dressed for the occasion 🏳️‍🌈👌
Uppa Pride! 🏳️‍🌈 Uppa Greens! 💚 Uppa Queers! 🏳️‍⚧️

Happy Pride, Belfast! 💪
A very welcome gesture.

What happened to these kids is nothing short of disgraceful bigotry and sectarianism.

Any adult who would use a child playing sport as a political football needs to give their ignorant head a wobble.
For some in our community, tonight's events will instil a sense of fear & anxiety, I know that because I used to experience it, those feelings are valid & shouldn't be dismissed, it is up to us to speak to eachother. I hope everyone has a safe and respectful 11th night 👍 9/9
We have to acknowledge the significance of events this time of year for many people in our communities. We can all learn to be more generous and have the courage to be open to uncomfortable conversations, I certainly have. 8/9
I do, however, give extra praise to those groups who utilise the council beacons programme. Beacons are carbon neutral and first class in delivering a safe bonfire. We have seen an expansion of that scheme in recent years, which is nothing but positive. 7/9
As a Green, it may be seen as controversial by some that I would be seen to support bonfires in any capacity. So let me be clear, bonfires are a valid and traditional form of cultural expression, I didn't always believe that, but I've learned more, so I believe it now. 6/9
While I won't be attending a bonfire in my constituency tonight, I do want to pay tribute to those groups in the area that I represent who do the positive work, because they dont get praised enough. 5/9
However, these sites are not the norm and frankly never have been. Those groups on the ground who work with the local community, the psni, fire service, and local reps to deliver a safe and respectful bonfire night should be commended. As a local rep, I do commend them. 4/9
Are there significant problems with some bonfires in NI? Yes. The horrendous racism on display at Moygashel should be called out for what it is. The severe lack of leadership & disregard for community safety at the village site should also be called out. We need to do better 3/9
