So I can finally share my vague publishing news with you: I wrote an academic adventure romance.
I saw in today's SBTB sales roundup that The Violin Conspiracy is on sale for $1.99. I thought it was unputdownable and beautifully written. Highly recommend!

Carville had one good election in 1992, and he's been coasting on it ever since. Cut bait, and let that guy go.

I wrote a rom-com that acknowledged covid (Chick Magnet), and that was a... polarizing choice. So I absolutely believe it's getting sublimated into other varieties of loss and grief.
Shorter version: people are using cancer in romance backstories because it’s less fraught than using covid: discuss

The world owes romance writers an apology. We told you that writing dirty talk was an art, but you didn't believe us.

a fascinating question!
Question for any romance novel history people out there: does anyone know who might have been the first romance author to write/publish strict dual POV, ie: in equally distributed, alternating chapters? (Or, first-ish, I know tracking firstness in literature is complicated)

Feel free to RT/boost

I'm watching Ken Burns's American Revolution hoping it doesn't cover any of the tidbits from You, Me, and the Conspiracy, like a totally normal person. 😭

Is there anything more demoralizing than spending an entire morning grading only to check your Canvas queue and to see the number has ticked up because students were turning things in?

If Glenn Powell's story from his SNL monologue about the UPS driver is true, it's adorable and I would read that book.

I just watched it, and it's totally entertaining. It's two hours of hot people having a great time. You need it, and you deserve it.
THIS IS NOT A DRILL!!!

The production of TWELTH NIGHT with Lupita Nyong’o, Junior Nyong’o, Peter Dinklage, Sandra Oh, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, and Daphne Rubin-Vega is now on the PBS app!!!!

One of my formative life experiences was reading The Scarlet Letter in the fall of 1998.
The flower of my young adulthood was spent hearing about William Jefferson Clinton getting a blow job and here we are 27 years later and ONCE AGAIN I gotta hear about somebody sucking that man's dick.

Maybe you'd like to see the amazing cover for WORLD'S OKAYEST ORACLE (RELUCTANTLY) SEEKS DEMON, my book about an infamously underpowered oracle saving the world alongside the uptight demon who helped ruin her life 20 years ago?

The only thing I have to add to the JCO discourse is that while the woman can be a mess, "Where Are You Going, Where Have You Been?" absolutely rivets students. I do love teaching it.

I watched this while knitting this weekend, and it was unexpectedly hilarious and also kind of touching and a lot relevant.
