this cracks me up since thrift used to be seen as a foundational American value. there are like a half dozen Ben Franklin aphorisms about that, but I guess that's not the stuff we're supposed to take from the founding fathers.

I adore all of Olivia's characters, but something about Molly's arc and her wounds and misapprehensions was so relatable to me. this is a warm hug of a book, and it's perfect for soothing end of the year stresses.

Tom and Lorenzo--a pair of fashion and pop culture bloggers/podcasters I love--did a great review of the new Taylor, and their argument was basically, look, maybe billionaires can't actually make good art because everyone around them becomes a yes man. it was compelling.
