My kids started with my stylist (I’ve been with him 20+ yrs!) when they were wee and he’s always been great with them, and was one of the first people to see them post-coming out. He’s quite naturally invested in their long hair journey lol

But also—I also bond w/my girls (both trans) over our hair! We grew out our locks during early pandemic + we regularly check lengths together. It's part of our ongoing convos re femme-ness 🥰

First off, that someone is 6, so let’s maybe chill, but also, that child is trans and figuring out what being femme means to them and our hair is a thing we bond over, as mothers and daughters have been doing since, I assume, the dawn of humans. Not everything is a symptom of The Man please stop 😭
