Got a notice from DCMPD that there will be simulated cannon fire around the White House until 3:00 p.m. WHY? Are they celebrating burning up taxpayer money? I'm so sick of these people! This is the Gilded Age on steroids what with all of the showmanship! Who's impressed? The 1%, I guess.

There's a difference though, between wp cooking up North, or in the Midwest, and down South. I went to a family reunion in NC and the food at the barbecue put on by the hotel was superb, right down to the freshly made lemonade! No rubber chicken for miles around!
