It's been over a year since I bailed on Twitter. I was like, "I don't care what it costs me, fuck this." Surprisingly it didn't really cost me anything AFAIK. Income-wise I'm actually doing better now than I was a year ago, which I never expected. Maybe I'd be making even more, but I don't care.

I did initially feel awful about clipping footage from the Banana Fish AI dub but since they removed it *and* it’s now apparent they didn’t have permission to do it in the first place, I do now feel it’s important to have some video evidence remaining of what they fuckin did.

I shared these sentiments on Twitter, but I looked up to Zen and seeing her lash out on people critiquing her design calmly and never denouncing people defending her via using r-word slur, using “snowflake/woke” dog whistles, and harassing via revenge porn has made me sick to my stomach.
For context: Podgekinn wrote a very sympathetic and nuanced thread about Zen's outfit, and Zen crashed out at them. The situation got so bad, Podge had to close replies to their thread discussing the outfit because people were posting "actual far right rhetoric" in response

My read re SB 20 is that there hasn’t been a solid situation to create legal precedent yet, so publishers are still trying to see where the line is before making drastic measures. Anything going on with Fakku here, my money is on something to do with paypros
I know this is probably mostly a paypro thing, but I do wonder what lateral influence Texas SB 20 and other potential laws elsewhere are having on things.
“This is legal content, and I should be allowed to buy it” is a common refrain, but it’s tricky when the legality itself is ambiguous/regional
