I do remember back when I first played cave story grinding until I could unlock some (but not all) of the special opening screens - but when I went back and played it recently it was all I could do just to clear it :o

I think Dracula could defeat Frankenstein but I don’t think Count Chocula could defeat Frankenberry and that speaks to the richness of the characters
Take breaks, but I believe in you, you got this!

Arturia, the friendly musician from Laterano, on vacation

She's so passionate about her music, and is always excited to have the opportunity to play for others! If she doesn't have her usual instrument, she can make do. You should let her play Wonderwall for you!

Reading 'big brudder' for what is basically a borderline-proper noun feels iffy to me at least. It might be semantically reasonable if translating on paper, but I don't think it's that much of a stretch for even a viewer unfamiliar with familial honorifics to get what's going on with Nii-Nii.
To use an example from the article, I don't think their analysis for 'nii-nii' is wrong necessarily - but it's complicated by the fact that for the anime, you're literally just listening to a girl say "nii-nii" out loud, in a way that, in an english context, is closer in function to a nick-name.
This is a fun article on a fun topic. One thing I don’t always see discussed in terms of anime itself is that we’re often reading the subtitles at the same time as we’re hearing dialog, and even if you don’t speak the language that can cause some disconnect if things obviously don’t line up
Fan Subs that Fan Stuck: How Anime Fans Embraced Fansub Terminology: Red Bard examines how Western anime fandom's historical embrace of fansubs led to a unique community jargon, powered heavily by terms discovered in those same fansubs.

He does get ‘Humey sense’, which does give him a constant low-grade premonition that something is wrong. This sense does not correlate to his material reality at all and does nothing to help him avoid danger.
They made a new Heroes of Might and Magic game???

And it actually looks something akin to polished???
