I'm at the Olympics and the entire stadium booed JD Vance. 😌

He was ROUNDLY BOOED

in case US media wants to try and spin it as somehow the Italian way of lovingly cheering
the last two Popes went out of their way to call this man an immigrant hating freak and a fake Catholic.

Bless his heart for going to Italy expecting to have a normal one❤️
Vice President JD Vance gets roundly booed at the opening ceremony of the Milano-Cortina 2026 Olympics. "Those are a lot of boos for him, whistling jeering," says the presenter. US athletes receive a warm welcome from fans, though.

I had a prof who once told us that talent was just an excuse people used when they refused to acknowledge what they actually lack is skill. talent may give a headstart, but unless you cultivate it you can never accomplish what someone who puts in the work will, regardless of their "talent"
February 6, 2026 at 7:09 PM
Artists push themselves not only to get better at the craft but because they genuinely want to create more!

they can’t help it. they need to push themselves. they want to push themselves. they want to create more
Agreed, for many people talent is just pushing past being bad when you first start.

the plagiarism machine is the death of art, not in the world but in the soul of the user- using it abdicates your humanity in the service of creating garbage

when they use AI they arent making art, they are making content. they have an idea they want to make real, and are unconcerned with the process of how to actually make it real -- only focusing on the end product. wouldn't a songwriter care about how the song is played? what instruments are used?

i’m so glad you brought him up

TURKEY BASTER. SPOONS. STICKS. WHATEVER he could find to spread his paint and he therefore made. art.

also, ART isn’t just images!

it’s sculpture; ceramics; knitting, crochet; embroidery; basketweaving; physical mixed media such as cardboard, metal, food!…
it's so clear that ppl who post like this don't understand why art is made. it's because there's something you want or need to make, some feeling you need to express. the skill of "talent" is the skill of expressing it. you can feel the anger in a pollock piece, even though "anyone could make one"

Swear to god, ICE could just announce they're leaving a city but not leave and the media will just stop covering that city completely even though ICE never left.

It's what ICE and the media did with LA and they're doing it with Minneapolis too

I think it should probably be a bigger story that the president of the United States is a raving lunatic
Trump at the National Prayer Breakfast: "We hit 'em. And we want to hit 'em right, sir, and we want to hit them from the top! East, west, north, south. Sir, they won't know what the hell! And we'll knock them out. We did it politically correct. Five years."

It’s cool that we have to endure this indignity because the press finds it entertaining and voters are morons
Trump at the National Prayer Breakfast: "I don't know how a person of faith can vote for a Democrat. I really don't. *crowd groans* I know we have some here today. I don't know why they're here, because they certainly don't give us their vote ... they cheat."

dammit, mike, i said no jesus sauce on my cheeseburger
Trump: "Mike Johnson is a very religious person. He does not hide it. He'll say to me sometimes at lunch, 'Sir, may we pray.' I'll say, 'Excuse me? We're having lunch.'"

wow -- with Trump standing behind him, a man (not sure who he is) offers this prayer: "We pray that he would be mindful of the poor and that he would be invested in the alleviation of suffering happening in the families preparing to bury their loved ones in Minneapolis."

No more Electoral College
Trump lost the popular vote by 2.8 million votes, but won the Electoral College thanks to 77,000 votes in three key states, so what he's alleging here would be a world-historically incompetent massive conspiracy.
Trump at National Prayer Breakfast: "They rigged the second election. I had to win it. I needed it for my own ego. I would've had a bad ego for the rest of my life. Now I really have a big ego. Beating these lunatics was incredible ... The first time they said I didn't win the popular vote. I did"
