It's much simpler than that. The Boy Scouts aren't maximally cruel to trans kids and so Republicans believe it should be destroyed.

As an Eagle Scout and a Vigil Honor member (iykyk) I can’t tell you how much better Scouting America has become by including girls and becoming more inclusive than when I was a kid.

Scouting was never about being “masculine.” It has always been about helping other people though.

Which of these Scouting values applies to the Trump administration:

Trustworthy
Loyal
Helpful
Friendly
Courteous
Kind
Obedient
Cheerful

It was the kids history book about a time traveling dog that helps on 9/11 that did me in
Both of my kids have had school assignments, in high school and in college, in which they're asked to talk to someone who was alive/adult when x, y, z event happened and get their take on the event in question. I don't remember having such assignments in my day, but woof, it makes me feel old.

Players are roleplaying in Fortnite to teach each other their rights when encountering ICE officials

“I would slip [the warrant] under the door, but there’s no space under the door,” the agent says.

The civilian pauses. “Well. Sounds like a personal problem.”

Everything wrong with political journalism in one graf. This is not a policy proposal that exists but that doesn’t matter, what matters is that someone “won” by asking it bsky.app/profile/larr...
What a strange framing and characterization. How does one describe his blatantly dishonest, racist question about taxes as “press[ing] the Mayor-elect on his policy proposals”? In what way does this lying troll emerge as a “winner“?

Leaving flowers is another interesting peaceful tactic out of Portland
Protesters in Portland, Oregon, left flowers in front of the detention center, but the ICE GOONS immediately took them away and searched the ground for weapons. This video captures their sadness and paranoia.

A very good catch by The Guardian on Russianisms that make the “peace deal” sound like it escaped from a Russian grammar workbook and got run over by Google Translate on the way out.

I’d add “NATO expansion” - their trademark phrase, not “NATO enlargement.”
