One of the stories that makes me the saddest out of this ICE invasion is one out of the Minnesota Star Tribune today about ICE agents eating at a little Mexican restaurant in the small town of Willmar, Minn, —and then, when they were done, arresting some of the workers.

Moratorium on evictions, NOW.
Dear neighbor,

We don’t know when this ICE occupation is going to end. Our neighbors are not sheltering in place because they are struggling to pay for rent, bills, and groceries. While the community has been meeting the moment, it’s time for the government to step in and help. 1/

Seriously, I was a chemist twenty years ago, you do NOT want heavy metal toxicity. It fucks you up in weird ways.

Non-protesting dad just trying to hustle his kids, as young as 6mo, out of the neighborhood. ICE threw a flash-bang INTO HIS car, all 6 kids in the hospital now.

WHY are news stations reading DHS statements out loud as if they have ANY credibility at all? They literally murdered a woman in cold blood LAST WEEK and are still lying about what happened, even though we can see what happened. That any credibility would be given to their statement is insane

A corollary of this isidea that circulating polls showing how unpopular he is demonstrates his weakening hold on power. It would, if this was a democracy. I’m not saying we’re doomed! Just opposite. Let’s act like we have power to fight fascism instead of reassuring ourselves via polling.

One of the biggest obstacles in trying to organize against ICE here on the ground is a capitalism in which bosses would rather see their employees disappeared by the federal paramilitaries than change their business practices to keep them safe.

There’s reports that there will be 1,000 more agents coming to our city. We need that same surge in residents out patrolling our streets. Even if you can’t patrol, come work from a coffee shop on one of cultural corridors so you can be there to show up for our neighbors.

So many goddamn people focusing on how DHS/ICE isn't doing it the right way, such as "putting citizens in harm's way" instead of fulfilling their pledge of going after criminals, are missing the fucking point. There is no right way to send paramilitary goons to terrorize the populace.
