I'm seeing a lot of people not understanding the key things that've changed about ICE with Trump in charge. It's not that they're being significantly more violent/cruel/etc. It's that they're being extremely loud and incompetent to the point they hit people most of the USA struggles to ignore.

No no, it’s actually easy to make it non-political: all you have to do is pivot the story to siding with the hostile society. Then you’re not being political, you’re just advocating for a return to normalcy/sanity. Nothing less political than that!
Sure, I'll write my story about trans lesbians navigating denial and realization in a hostile society 'non-political'. It's going to require the entire world to stop politicizing our existence first, though.
