We can restore at least 2019 service if we pass Muni Now, Muni Forever's community parcel tax proposal.

But Daniel Lurie is pushing his own version that would lock in cuts (in order to save millions for downtown companies like Marc Benioff's Salesforce who just got Trump tax cuts). Write a letter!

Clean energy is cheap, & clean energy can get built quickly, but the government is making it harder and more expensive to build clean energy. All at a time when AI data centers are spiking electricity demand. Demand is up & power supply is being constrained. It’s a crisis. youtu.be/f6536KWBZAc?...

Government actors who refuse to be bound by the rule of law are not morally entitled to its protection.

This is bananas.

But also faculty please now more than ever make your rubric on memos/ writing super explicit.

This would fail in my class because it doesn’t “meaningfully engage readings.” Protect yourself as much as possible from engaging on politics.

Hope this prof sues the shit out of them.

Montreal is our European city and hopefully the rest of the country learns from this.

Also, now I'll be singing "Bye bye, mon cowboy/bye bye mon gigolo" all week.
IMPORTANT: “I boarded Montreal’s brand-new light metro line for its first voyage. From the front of the driverless train, the crowd got a privileged view…The journey was not just a tour of the REM’s 14 new stations, however—it was a preview of the most ambitious transit expansion in North America.”

Canada has forgotten how to build fast, cheap transit. A new megaproject has the fix.

You can reason with people who are curious but un- or ill-informed: I gave an A to a student in a medieval history class who asked me on the first day when Game of Thrones took place, because she read the material, worked hard, and produced well-argued essays. You can't work with bull-headed morons.

I simply don't know enough about this sector but would love to see a paper on how much of California's building materials demand could be sources this way
Great way to integrate California's ag sector into construction materials production

Reporter: If there were a second strike that killed wounded people, would that be legal?

Trump: I don’t know that happened and Pete said he did not even know what people were talking about. I wouldn’t have wanted a second strike. The first strike was very lethal. It was fine.

I read the NYT Marin e-bike story about a teen who fell while trying out a borrowed illegal e-moto. We don't ban all cars because someone crashed an illegally modified car on the streets.
A car can hit a cyclist & throw them much faster than the speed of an e-moto. Helmets won't save them

HASSETT: Gas prices dropped below $2 a gallon in a lot of places

CORDES: Gas prices on average are still at $3 a galloon

HASSETT: For a few states they got below $2

They called them Near Abroad Direct Action Operations, NADA Ops. The "joke" in the CalSec cafeterias, which made its way out later in the hearings was that "What does the operator say when asked if there are civilians in the area? Nada...oops!". Even decades later, Arizona didn't find it funny.

I'm a single-issue voter and that issue is investigating and prosecuting Jared Kushner for what is sure to be a whole lot of illegal business investments and the use of state secrets to line his pockets.
I’d rather question why is Kushner there and why is he laying out a vision? We did not vote him into any gov position nor the senate we voted for has approved his candidacy.

This isn’t a grey zone anymore, it’s 50 shades of grey.
