This is nauseating: “As the emails stretch through the years, they show how that protected realm vanished into the mists of time, pulled under by the rising forces of the internet and the #MeToo movement.” A “Gone With the Wind” framing for sexual abuse and harassment.
Seriously, what is wrong with these people?

Leo is a spontaneous source of joyful ritual, clearly the Pope of the Moment.
Spike Lee just blessed Pope Leo with a custom Knicks jersey during his visit to the Vatican, just one week after the Pope was gifted a custom Chicago Bulls one.

I'm not trying to be mean, but racists who believe Trump betrayed them by being a child molester are not going to embrace the Democratic Party without forcing that party to embrace racism. And the people gained would in no way make up for those lost.

I'm sure this is true but I don't mind old Bill catching strays.
guys I hate to burst the blowjob bubble but the "blowing Bubba" thing in the Epstein e-mails is very likely to be them making prison rape jokes. Trump is going to prison, therefore Trump is going to have to blow Bubba - the mythical rapey fellow inmate of gross prison jokes by U.S. men.

very funny to read these emails and then remember summers wondering whether the leaky pipeline in stem was because women are inherently bad at math
The emails have Summers reporting to Epstein about his attempts to date a Harvard economics student & to hit on her during a seminar she was giving.

"Truly, the worst person in the Senate" I think before seeing some other Senator in the news and thinking the exact same thing.
TENNESSEAN: “Ethics complaint filed claiming 8 Senators ― including @MarshaBlackburn & @SenatorHagerty ― violated conflict of interest rules by supporting a provision allowing them to sue the government for millions…”

(Finally they cover this story! 👏🏽)

All else aside, Project 2029 is loser shit. Your *first move* is adopting the Republican’s frame of reference! You’ve already lost!
NEW: Before the recent Epstein disclosures, Larry Summers was poised to lead the economic policy plank for the Democrats' "Project 2029" effort at the Center for American Progress. He signed off on a housing policy paper CAP was prepping for next week.

Trump's policies are inflicting so much harm even his allies can see it. Yet he's mostly doing exactly what he promised to. If they revolt over policy, they'll reveal they were fools to back him in the first place. They need a *moral* reason to abandon him. The Epstein files provide just that.

Trump officials seek to transfer Tina Peters from Colorado prison to federal custody
The request comes after President Trump has repeatedly called for Peters, a prominent supporter of his false stolen election conspiracies from 2020, to be released from her nine-year sentence.

I really do like the analogy because the grunts in the army of the Potomac from 1861-1863 had to grind it out under incompetent leadership until the union found Grant, and that kinda feels like what’s going on with the dem party rn…
Listening to the Unclear and Present Danger podcast with @jamellebouie.net , and he made a striking analogy: the Trump administration sorta resembles the Confederacy trying to win everything in the first 24 months...

made a similar point on the opinions podcast this week in response to the idea that epstein is a dead end. not only are actual voters interested in this but it divides the gop and puts pressure on the president. it would be political malpractice to treat it as a sideshow
The usual suspects are telling Dems that Epstein won’t win elections, get back to “affordability” and I think my head might explode. www.offmessage.net/p/force-a-re...

For those making list of non-negotiable structural reforms, abolishing the pardon is top-10.

Probably not top 5—Congress and the Court have those on lock—but its fundamental incongruity with rule of law makes keeping it a non-starter in the post-Trump era.

The ebo / pedo dodge isn’t about drawing “important” distinctions that people of good faith Should Acknowledge when the established position is No We Shouldn’t and moreover, this exact bullshit is why we’ve established a legal category (i.e., minors) broad enough to avoid this entire rancid mess.
