This is my political account. If you want to know my more political takes, some of which *will certainly* be spicy, this is where you'll find it.
I suppose I should introduce myself before people start flagging me as a bot.

This is the more political account for @6sidedgames.bsky.social.

Still getting up and running, so mind the bump.
Restarted my FF16 playthrough since I never finished it and I have a couple weeks.

While the Eikon fights are a mix of QTE's and actual fights, they are pure fucking spectacle. And I'm here for it.

Just a reminder that people with less social power than you are never the cause of your problems.

Matt Gaetz caused the fall of Matt Gaetz. Not the poor homeless teen that he took advantage of.
We got the NYT blaming a homeless teenager for the downfall of Matt Gaetz. I mean. What the fuck. Where do people think we are?

This right here

This isn't a "oh no they get a pass cause their "ours"" thing

Every single fucker that was part of this deserves to be jailed and punished regardless of political affiliation

Thats the whole bloody point of having laws and morals, I don't get what's so hard to understand on this!
"What if one of YOUR favorite politicians/celebrities/etc is on the list?" Did you all not notice how quickly we dropped Neil Gaiman when we found out about the things he did? Do you know how beloved that guy used to be and how loathed he is now? I think that right there should answer your question.

You know you're working too much when you have your guts literally stuffed back where they belong and your first thoughts are, "work is gonna suck tomorrow."

When you have the next 2 weeks off...

Surgery update for those that care:

Slept through the night, though the way I have to sleep doesn't mesh well with my arms. Pinky finger was tingly when I woke up.

Pain is low, except when I coughed after I woke up. Range of motion is mostly returned, if I'm careful about it.

Lotsa cool stuff in here.
Long ago on the hell site I made long list of historically interesting things to use in dnd ttrpgs and I'll start dragging them over here starting with

2000 years-old sapphire ring presumably belonged to Roman emperor Caligula, depicting his fourth wife Caesonia.

I was told that the pain blockers they used would dissipate after 10 hours or so and I would hurt more today than yesterday.

I am sure they dissipated, but I'm not hurting worse than I did yesterday evening.

Funny how those things work out.

I've not even grabbed my Rx they sent in.

steam is apparently allowing "this game had AI in it that it didn't disclose" as a valid return statement, so if you or anyone you know actually paid $70 for slop, get that money back

BY THE WAY

If you've updated to Windows 11 recently, you're probably on version 25H2.

There's a new setting in Settings: Privacy & Security.

Scroll aaaaaaaalll the way to the bottom and you'll see "Text and Image Generation."

TURN IT OFF.

Also; a bad idea I had while recovering from surgery? Rewatching Mitchells Vs the Machines. Awesome movie. Hilarious.

Hurts to laugh after abdominal surgery.

Just got home from the surgery. Drive sucked, but not as bad as I thought it would. The pain isn't that high, honestly, outside of when I'm having to do things like pick something up. Walking isn't too bad.

All in all, not nearly as bad as I was expecting so far.

Been out of surgery for 2 hours. Appetite has mostly returned, but throat is dry, sore, and I'm hurting, but no painkillers needed yet.

I'll probably need them before I go to sleep, though.

People are bitching about being banned over things that Bsky has made clear they will be banned over.

I got a literal 30 day ban on Facebook for, and I quote, "All men suck."

Maybe don't quote things that could be construed as a threat or talk about feeding people to woodchippers?

So the streamer Ludwig recently found out that one of his earliest regular viewers, who was trans, passed away and tonight he's doing a charity stream for the Trevor Project. So far he's raised over $46,000 in about 5 hours. www.twitch.tv/ludwig

As of this morning, Starbucks workers across the country are officially ON STRIKE. And we're prepared for this to become the biggest and longest ULP strike in Starbucks history.

Say #NoContractNoCoffee with us: DON'T BUY STARBUCKS for the duration of our open-ended ULP strike! $SBUX

Oppy, I've joined a cult! Pacific Drive's Whispers in the Woods DLC has me flinching at crash-test dummies and the radio, but it's okay, because my station wagon screams whenever anything tries to grab it. @ironwood.bsky.social knocked it out of the park.
The scariest horror game I've played this year is actually DLC for 2024's best driving sim
The Whispers in the Woods DLC is the perfect excuse to return to Pacific Drive, and its horror is worth the pain of its new systems.

Having worked with executives before, this is true.
Every office has an executive tier whose emails are like:

saw on news , , can we replce complianc dept with web 3

and a worker tier whose emails are like:

Dear Jim,
First of all, I *love* this idea! Unfortunately, I spoke with Legal and identified a few issues with this approach. For starters…
Well, it's a little clearer now why billionaires are so invested in technology that produces better written emails.

Watsuki was the reason I got into anime.

The author of Rorouni Kenshin.

I'm not going to talk about what he was caught with, but it was bad.
I get that some people never liked the person who ends up being outed as abusive—but saying so often feels dismissive of those who genuinely loved their work or who they seemed to be.
Here's a thing that I despise: When someone is outed as an abuser, TERF, terrible human, and ppl start going "I never liked them anyway" "I never found them funny" "They never wrote good things to begin with" and seriously shut the hell up. All of that is just to position you are superior and (cont)

yes, even if it's a reference to song lyrics

Fucking called that the GOP would demand more.

Because that's what bullies *do.*
Ppl need to understand what's happening here.

The GOP response to the shutdown was: You're gonna cave, or we're going to hurt vulnerable people by shutting off SNAP. The Dems, unwilling to let that happen, caved.

Having watched that, the GOP is now saying: "Give us what we want on abortion or ..."
NEWS: Senate Republicans are threatening to block the extension of Affordable Care Act subsidies—unless Democrats agree to tougher abortion restrictions.
