'Disunity is death' – but Labor's cowed caucus has a cost too
"Disunity is death" is a phrase often used in Labor circles, but it’s rarely discussed how government unity at all costs fragments society.

Vale Nanna Heather Goodall who passed away on Jan 29th. A rare human being who gave so much to so many.

Sydney Knitting Nannas were honoured to have Prof Heather in our ranks, buoyed up by her environmental research and generosity. See youtu.be/X8ABgidgXao

Heather loved and missed (in the beret)👇

Again @abcnewsbot.bsky.social reports “unprecedented” heatwave with no mention of #ClimateChange

What’s causing extreme & frequent HEATWAVE? How come the government’s own National Climate Risk accepts the science but continues to fuel HEATWAVE? How bad must it get? Who pays for the consequences?

This is Fairy Falls, just one of many in my 'hood. Aptly named as it's normally the most delicate.
Clearly my doggo hasn't caught up with the impacts of the sheer volume of water currently barreling through the mountains at the moment. Remind you of anyone?

The ICE agent who shot Marimar Martinez in Chicago tried to goad her out of her car.

He said “do something b*tch” and shot her 5 times.

The ICE agent who shot Nicole Renee Good did the same thing. Stood right in front of her vehicle and yelled “f*cking bitch”.

They hate women & it shows.

Fuck having to second guess the art you see and want to enjoy, fuck the insidious way they're attempting to normalize it, fuck the way it feels like it has crept into every facet of existence, fuck the theft, the deceit and the problems it causes.

I want a society where we care less about the mental health of a man who is a convicted rapist & more about the health, well - being & safety of the woman who is actual victim of the rape. They should be our priority not protecting the reputation of a perpetrator.

Big hugs for Nanna Alex who has just made it back to the beach after her arrest. She’s here with @risingtideaus.bsky.social and says she decided to take direct action to stop the coal ships because as a Professor of Public Health she knows the risks. Wake up #auspol #RisingTide #ClimateAction

Keystone cops
You asked for it!

We tracked down photos of 3 🧶👵’s, a clown (+driver) being pursued by police on Newcastle Harbour on Saturday. Nannas were finally arrested but released without charge.

Not everyone is in a position to take direct action - but we can all spread the word #ClimateAction now!
