Mit 50 Sachen an einem an einer Haltestelle haltenden und warnblinkenden Bus in einem dicken Pickup-Truck vorbeizufahren und dabei auch noch langgezogen zu hupen ist schon eine doch recht interessante Art, die eigene Unzulänglichkeit zu kommunizieren

That last paragraph is for everyone wondering why turning your music "just a little louder" can really damage your hearing: doubling the volume means 10 more decibels, means tenfold the stress on your ears. Another correlate is when someone tells you a noise was e.g. "60-70" decibels you know 1/

This paper forthcoming at the JOP provides evidence that rent control in Germany actually made tenants MASSIVELY *less* NIMBY.
This result was in the opposite direction of the authors' pre-registered expectations.
And the effect sizes are, truly, massive.

Absolut beschämend. Wie soll man einer Regierung Glauben schenken, die selbst die einfachsten menschlichen Zusagen nicht einhält? Wir gefährden Leib und Leben von Menschen & ihren Familien, die sich für das Leben unserer Soldaten eingesetzt haben. In der Weihnachtszeit. Humanitärer Tiefpunkt.
Deutsche Soldaten können nur inständig hoffen, dass sie nie, nie, nie wieder irgendwo auf örtliche Unterstützung angewiesen sein werden.
Dobrindt entzieht Ortskräften Aufnahmezusage – „Warum zerstören Sie mich und meine Familie wissentlich?“
Dobrindt wollte nur noch Ortskräften aus Afghanistan ein Visa gewähren. Man habe eine politische Verantwortung für diese Menschen. Es kommt anders.

Fun Fact, we've tried to implement 3D cinema no less than 3 times over the past 80 years, and each time all people had to do was wear glasses during the duration of the movie, and never ever did people care enough to do that.

As a small corrolary of *gestures wildly at the current state of affairs in tech* whatever the hell this is, if we ever *were* to actually arrive at something even remotely resembling actual artificial intelligence, it would consider us idiots for ever considering LLMs AI
