The stark contrast between strict and stupidly free was a lot to handle for most who often brushed me off.
It led to social awkwardness, the constant seeking approval and clinginess.
It may have also contributed to my unregulated ADHD.

Tonight I discovered the "glass child" syndrome. My little brother has Spina Bifida and with all fairness, received a lot more attention than I.
However, I was al but brushed aside and forced to be an adult before puberty.
The house was militant. When I was away, I was free.
