Invisible borders. Restrict where the character can go with visible geography. Also, roguelikes.

I just don't need to know what the Telegraph has written about Dungeons & Dragons. It's a newspaper for people who are frightened of samosas.

my “AI is over” anecdote is that my wife was hired over the summer to write scripts for a big tech company explaining how to use their AI tools and after many rounds of revisions, the latest notes said “we’re finding a lot of AI fatigue among our users” and to remove all references to AI
Anecdotally on twitter seeing a big shift the last few days from every AI slop account saying every other creative field is “over” and they’re in control now to now posting about how nobody likes them and it’s not fair and they’ll persevere and real artists respect and uplift eachother

The death of browsing is part of the reason art is the way it is now. Our opinions are largely fed to us by algorithms. Spending a spare 15 minutes wandering around a bookstore or comic shop or video rental place was how you found stuff you wouldn't ordinarily pick up and thereby expanded your taste
Bookselling is like the most "people go to the store and buy what looks cool to them without a particular agenda" type business left, and your purchases have a huge influence on what is ordered, what is displayed, and what is recommended.

It's crazy expensive. Also, the models are good, not great, and the actual game looks like a bore.
I’m gonna be a bit of a downer, but GW is bumming me out as £160/$255 for the new Warhammer Quest: Darkwater is absurd. Nurgle’s rotting their brains senseless! I hope FLGSs are ready for this shelf space to be occupied for months to come.

ever talked to a normal, non right winger MMA fan or fighter? because I haven't
Jean-Claude Van Damme posting AI-generated content endorsing a felonious fascistic fraudster currently serving as commander-in-chief marks another step in merging the Venn Diagram between martial arts fans and MAGA into the shithole-shaped circle I was hoping wouldn't happen... I truly hate it here.
So, it appears that Jean-Claude Van Damme is a bootlicker after all.

Level-5's dungeon-crawling city-builder #DarkCloud 2 was out 23 years ago (2002) in Japan! Two heroes fight to save the future by developing strongholds in the past. Bright and fun characters (and Spheda!) have helped this RPG stand the test of time.🌻

Companies can fuck around and stick little shit in the edges and maybe get away with it, but even CoD's limited use of obvious AI slop seems to have actually gotten them financially smacked. People have bad taste, that doesn't mean they won't come for your blood if they feel cheated

Look, if you're not an expert you wouldn't know, but this chart is bullshit. They could not possibly measure this as 1. How can you tell for sure? There's no reliable automated way. 2. You're not counting the many sites that are blocking crawlers now.

But there's an even more important reason...
the internet is now a photocopy of a photocopy of a photocopy of a photocopy and so on
