Level-5's dungeon-crawling city-builder #DarkCloud 2 was out 23 years ago (2002) in Japan! Two heroes fight to save the future by developing strongholds in the past. Bright and fun characters (and Spheda!) have helped this RPG stand the test of time.🌻

Tales of Destiny 2 (not Eternia) was out 23 years ago (2002) in Japan! We've never seen it overseas, and though attempts to fan-translate the PS2 sequel exist, some players HAVE experienced the threats of a madman yelling: NO ITEMS EVER! 🪓

Two indie RPG reviews in a row – and we've enjoyed both! Sacred Earth – Reverie however, takes on an RPG/visual novel approach (reminding me of Ar Tonelico) and with some good story depths for players to dive into.

It's a #Danganronpa 15th Anniversary special! 🐻 Trills, chills, and a HUGE Steam sale has D1 for only ~$1 (and <$15 for the trilogy). Easily worth the price to see if you can survive The Biggest, Most Awful, Most Tragic Event in Human History...!

The Tale of Relm has a lot on offer for a satisfying indie RPG experience, if you can forgive some of those first-time game developer quirks as well. ⚔️ (Worth noting: It's also 40% off right now! So yay, we got good timing!)

The Atelier is reopened! ---Now with less FOMO gacha banners! 👍⚗️ #Atelier Resleriana: The Red Alchemist & the White Guardian brews a hotpot of great ideas, even if not perfectly – but it's an entry that series vets and newcomers can easily enjoy.

Tales from the Borderlands was out 11 years ago (2014)!🪐 Fans of Dispatch may wanna try this Vault-hunting "choose your adventure" title as you take the roles of a Hyperion employee and Pandoran con artist. There's fun, kills, and thrills (in that order).

Best known for the Dynasty Warriors games, Omega Force branched out from hack-and-slash to monster-hunting with decent results! There's room to grow (even in this enhanced port) but Switch 2's #WildHearts S is at least fun to co-op.🐉

It has been 11 years since Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth was released in the US. Featuring the cast of Persona 3 and 4 with maze crawling gameplay inspired by Etrian Odyssey, this game hits a lot of buttons that made me want to love it.

It has been 20 years since Castlevania: Curse of Darkness was released. A unique action RPG set in the Castlevania universe whose plot, characters, and lore were heavily adapted for the Netflix anime.

Final Fantasy "II" (but actually IV) was the 2nd in this series out in North America 34 years ago (1991)! 🌙🐋 A dramatic tale across earth, moon, and molten underworld; with a large cast and great OST (it's still one of my fav overworld tracks).

I love when we go back and review a rare Japanese-only RPG from a bygone system. Sometimes it's a new and wonderful gem to discover...!💎 And sometimes it's more diamond in the rough... #Sega Saturn's Wachenröder is the latter.

The Legend of #Zelda: A Link Between Worlds was out 12 years ago (2013) for the 3DS! (...And sadly remains stranded there.) ALBW is a seriously well-paced and fun title in this long-running series. It's a little easy – but breezy, and fun. 🍃
