Also, part of being a good ally is making sure the people who are being targeted for hate do not have to bear the burden of protest alone. If we all show up, we break every kind of fascist or nationalist narrative.

My mom — who is in her 70s and immunocompromised — could not get her vaccines today. RFK Jr. is lying when he says he's not making harder to get vaccines.

So far Walgreens and Costco both say you need a prescription for covid shots, even if you are over 65. And Costco only has Pfizer and Moderna, but not novavax. I am trying to get my dr to send in a prescription to Walgreens. For my first request, the drs ofc said I didn’t need it due to my age. So I’ve requested again. so you can see that the average person is going to have to go through a bit of effort to get these. And I’m guessing that’s the point, to discourage people. I can’t

I can speak from a state perspective — we have a state lab. They do drug-resistance testing. Problem is, our state’s public health budget is around 60% federally funded, so massive cuts to the CDC hurts our capacity. IDK how well our state lab can do without CDC funds.
