THE RUNNING MAN was overall pretty fun, but the pacing towards the end felt a little off for me. (SCOTT PILGRIM remains my favourite Edgar Wright film, based on its own merits, but also on the lack of TERF apologists/collaborators and sexual predators in the cast, as far as I know.)

I can't narrow it down to *a* book. Best I can do is my top three: THE MARTIAN CHRONICLES by Ray Bradbury, PATTERN RECOGNITION by William Gibson, and TOWARD ETERNITY by Anton Hur.
performative reading, lack of reading skills, nobody's reading anymore -- NO!

tell me about a book that changed you

for me? the *extremely* ahistorical novel, THE AGONY AND THE ECSTASY which I read at 13 and was like, "Oh, art can be *everything* to a maker, for good and bad"

The Bond-is-dead thing is easy to fix. Just reveal that there was a clone of him that's been exiled for the last five years. After James dies, he finally returns, but to differentiate himself, he'll be wearing a baby blue hoodie and going by a different name. That name? Bond. Bond Reilly.

You could be a mass murderer but as long as you did things for the capitalist economy there’ll be Singaporeans lining up to argue that actually on balance you did good

Meanwhile Singaporeans will also say a mule should hang for smuggling a packet of drugs across the border once

Please please please tell me that there's at least one Japanese graffiti artist named Yankee Doodle.
for the uninitiated: ヤンキー (yankee) means "delinquent", not commonly "american"

Repost with an iconic fictional band.

(Look, their later stuff's neat and all, but the first two Gorillaz albums? That's the sweetest, Jamie Hewlettest goodness for me.)

I haven't been pushing WORK-LIFE BALANCE and HOW ARE YOU FEELING? as much 'cause I wasn't sure how much, if any residuals will go to my collborators and me, as opposed to Diamond's coffers. Come January, you can get WORK-LIFE BALANCE again all around the world, knowing that we'll actually get paid!
Difference Engine—the publisher of two projects I co-created, WORK-LIFE BALANCE and HOW ARE YOU FEELING?—has a new international distributor. From 1 January 2026, you can buy my books and know that myself and my collaborators will actually receive residuals for sales!

One of the very first short stories I ever wrote was about teenage me and my friends hanging out in town, while I tried to muster up the courage to tell a girl that I liked her. A small part of me wonders if I could rewrite that story now, with so much more experience as a person and a writer.

Wanna help with those vet bills? Please get a pdf copy of MR MEMPHIS and, if you can, pay more than the $5 minimum. I've got a little less than $200 in my Paypal account and I need to hit that $200 if I wanna withdraw it all without incurring any fees. gumroad.com/l/xcvVQ

Culling my pull list, so that I've got a bit of extra cash every month for Luca's vet bills and prescription food. Finishing some mini-series and picking up already reserved one-shots, but when I'm through, the only comics I'm getting in single issues are ASSORTED CRISIS EVENTS and ONE FOR SORROW.

Lordy, FRANKENSTEIN was beautiful. I found myself tearing up more than once. Looking forward to WAKE UP DEAD MAN now and really wishing these directors could get more theatrical releases.

Men embracing reading is the absolute worst thing to happen to manosphere influencers and hate groups. They don't know how to pivot to take advantage of that. It's not like Andrew Tate is going to be able to lead a YouTube discussion on Watchmen.

While it's not technically within an AVENGERS title, this page from SIEGE taught me more about writing action in comics than most action sequences. So, even though his DAREDEVIL run with Alex Maleev remains my favourite Marvel work of his, it's honestly kinda nice to see him returning to AVENGERS.

I haven't read THE FACELESS THING WE ADORE YET, but my god, the temptation to bump it to the top of my reading pile *just* for that cover. (I probably would have, if not for the fact that I've been itching to jump into Bora Chung's MIDNIGHT TIMETABLE too.)
