리눅스의 가장 큰 특징이자 약점은 사용자가 유저가 아니라 엔지니어가 되어야 한다는 데 있다. 그래서 공공과 기업의 벽을 못 넘는 거다. 모든 종류의 시스템이나 아키텍처에서 유지보수가 얼마나 큰 일인지는 회삿일이나 공공쪽 일해보신 분들이라면 모를 수가 없다. 윈도우나 안드로이드는 대기업이 유지보수를 해주기 때문에 큰 문제없이 업무도구로 자리잡은 거다. 나도 주당 80시간쯤 일하는 입장에서 업무를 봐야 할 시간에 업무도구 유지보수하라고 하면 안 쓴다. '아닌데 나는 잘 쓰는데 니가 컴 못 다루는건데' 하는 분들은..행복하시기 바랍니다

An arsonist hit a Mississippi synagogue Saturday. Seven Torahs were damaged or destroyed in the fire.
One Torah, from the Holocaust, was in a glass case and wasn't touched.
The same synagogue was bombed by the KKK in 1967.

사교육을 하는 입장에서 저런 소위 '영재'들을 운좋게 만난 부모가 해야하는 일은, 내가 보기에는 이렇다. 0)먼저 아이가 장애 없이 건강하고 똑똑하게 태어난 것을 하늘에 감사하시오 1)학교 중상위권에 걸려 있을 정도의 적당한 사교육 2)많은 양의 독서와 학교 교과과정 외의 여러 체험을 부모가 같이 해줄 것. 두뇌 효율이 좋으므로 공부량이 적어도 잘 따라가기 때문이다. 3)충분한 대화와 인성교육. 이거 말고는 특별히 없다고 생각한다.

We evacuated our kids out of Minneapolis this weekend and my spouse reports that as she drove them out of town she saw "multiple freeway exits where people are being pulled over." It feels like the Twin Cities is being subjugated by a hostile occupying force.
