It's going to take a WPA level of commitment to un-fuck this country after Trump is gone.
It feels like there’s a thousand little things like this that will need to be corrected, and I hope someone is keeping track of them.

This isn't about immigration policy; it's about the militarization of our public spaces. ICE turning our blocks into patrol zones makes everyone feel like a suspect, not a citizen. #ICEoffOurStreets

At Liam’s school, three other kids have been taken by ICE.

A U.S. citizen child with a brain tumor was deported away from her Texas doctors.

Austin college student Any Lopez Belloza was deported by “mistake” and still can't come home.

Trump's chaos and cruelty has to end.

There are a few things that Dems may be able to get that seem small but could be big. Like masks; it won’t abolish ICE, but get them prohibited & that could be a huge hit to their recruitment & retention.

Keeping Border Patrol from roaming the country would wipe out a big % of agents in cities.

This is correct. The CR that funds DHS is two weeks. This is very short. Thune is the one who caved.
We now must hope that Dems keep the pressure on. And we must pressure them to do so.
People just going out here saying the literal opposite of what happened. Thune caved! Thune did! This is a cave by Thune and Senate Republicans, any possible way you cut it.

This is the escalation cycle I've been talking about for months, one Homan can't pretend DHS is not part of.

DHS adopts aggressive tactics and arrest quotas, the community responds angrily, agents mask up and DHS deploys more, the response gets bigger/angrier, agents get more aggressive, etc...
