DHS/ICE, which just got the largest budget increase in its history, claims it doesn't have enough money for hard drives to preserve video evidence in a detainee abuse case at Broadview. Suggests to a judge that maybe the detainees could provide them

The government also said "we don't have resources" to retain all footage and that plaintiffs could supply "endless hard drives that we could save things to."

It is particularly galling that Trump is calling for the execution of people who actually served honorably in the military, while he took a bone spur exemption and famously boasted that his Vietnam was dodging syphilis in 70s New York.

Just a historically loathsome figure by any measure.

One of my favorite moments is when Farage was on Russia Today and they brought on a little girl dressed as Queen Elizabeth to “knight” him and in the time honored tradition of children having no filter she just goes, “My mummy says you don’t like foreigners!”
On Nigel Farage's racism, of course it is possible that someone can believe one thing when they're a teenager and something completely different when they're an adult.

But where is the evidence that has happened in this case?

Instead all of the evidence points in the complete opposite direction

The media is refusing to state the most bleedingly obvious facts about a man whose entire career has been devoted to pursuing a racist political agenda

Immigrants build housing, build roads, build cars, harvest crops, and provide health care.

Imagine thinking we needed fewer of them.

My hot take is that calling for Congressional members of the opposition party to be arrested and executed should be impeachable. Instead Republicans will circle the wagons like always while talking about the softball shooting from 2017 to deflect.
Trump has posted about this subject NINETEEN times so far this morning:

Three posts of his own and 16 reposted replies, including calls for violence.

Republicans constantly attack everything Democrats say as “violent rhetoric” but here’s the leader of the party and POTUS explicitly calling for Democrats to be executed.

There is no issue in existence for which Tom Cotton will not embrace and defend the most violent and immoral option available. He’s very consistent like that.
Cotton on Trump's boat strikes: "Use common sense. If any of these had been boats full of fisherman or refugees, CNN would've already been on the ground & interviewed all their families & told their stories. We can be confident all of these strikes have been against cartel-based drug traffickers."

AP and others *have* been on the ground and interviewing families and telling their stories, and the people on the boats appear to the mostly working class low-level people smuggling cocaine, not hardened cartel operatives bringing in fentanyl as the admin repeatedly has suggested.

CNN has already been gradually transforming into another Fox News but at least it’s still been quasi tolerable. NewsNation is ok but you can definitely tell it’s owned by Nexstar. MSNBC is going to be the only option now, I guess. The media landscape continues to crumble. That’s very bad.

Farmers never faced any true consequences the first time because Trump gave them a bailout; so they voted for those same terrible economic policies a second time expecting the same result as Trump’s first term and it isn’t happening so they’re flipping out. But this is what they voted for.

Would genuinely love to see all of the commitments Trump nominees made that turned out to be lies. It would be vastly longer than Republican Senators who have denounced them for those lies.
RFK Jr had committed to Bill Cassidy, as a condition to win his vote, that he would keep website language.

Cassidy in February: “If confirmed… CDC will not remove statements on their website pointing out that vaccines do not cause autism.”

Note the language in second photo.

He used "Democrat Party" early on in his opinion, a well-known right-wing partisan "insult" meant to put down Dems.

That's a clear, unambiguously aggressive political view in a politically sensitive opinion.

The sort of thing a healthy 5th Circuit would take steps to sanction.

But yeah, the 5th.
But worry not, he has a footnote explaining why his fixation on Soros "is not political."
