Well, it certainly is set to be flipped in a way that it didn't even after the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the subsequent defection of southern Democrats to the Republican party. Just look at the legislative maps from 1964-1994.

Same. Even with sports and teams I actually care about, I would much rather see a good event and performances than just watch my team dominating. It just helps that I haven't had a personal attachment to any MLB team since the mainstays of the 90s and 2000s Braves retired.

I've reached the point where I no longer choose the best bang for the buck option if it requires me to work harder than the good enough but more expensive option. My sanity has a dollar value and it wasn't actually that much.
