i love european olympics opening ceremonies. the second the ioc names a european host city the prime minister calls the culture minister into their office and says "find me your strangest homosexuals. give each of them a period of our great nation's history, a kilo of cocaine, and Ten Million Euros"

why are we subsidizing people who insist it’s their right to be reimbursed for building their houses in dumb ass places
The current exposure for the California FAIR plan (California’s insurer of last resort) sits at $724 billion. Its liability almost doubled in two years and is now more than double the state’s annual budget. In its most recent financial reporting it had about $1.5 billion on hand.

Amazing how Trump’s views on homeownership align with the Venice hippie & Traci Park
Trump: "People that own their homes -- we're gonna keep them wealthy. We're gonna keep those prices up. We're not gonna destroy the value of their homes so that somebody who didn't work very hard can buy a home."

Housing cannot be a store of wealth AND be affordable in the long run!! You see clearly what the oligarchs would prefer

Kelly Loeffler: "Thanks to your leadership you also helped put the fires out. Your executive order got water to the scene in the earliest days of your presidency."

Yesterday the Metro board made two terrible decisions that show they're incapable of leading this agency, which is currently in the middle of the largest transit expansion in the country. The state legislature has the power to restructure the board, and LA needs them to do it.
Dissolve the Metro board
Sacramento should reform this dysfunctional body. It's holding LA back.

SOS I am in Northridge
I was going to do a snarky QT of this but I’m trying to decide if I want to see Muti & the CSO do Hindemith & Brahms next week & the thought of getting to Northridge on a Thursday evening is giving me the vapors
One of the main things I appreciate about LA is that going anywhere, at any time, in any way, is a horrifying ordeal

Some people enjoy seeing homelessness as long as their homes gain value, not much more to say
