A thing I found out when I went to pick up a hold at my local branch last weekend is they also have a compost dropoff station. Which reminds me I also need to look into what my town's doing about compost because I didn't know we have that.

There’s a couple discussions happening here: one about the intrinsic value of broad general education, and another one about how fucking expensive higher ed is. I believe that a well educated populace requires a good general education.

Is it too much to ask to get a criminal justice degree without having to also be required to spend $800 to balance chemical equations for some reason? The election valence of Mercury is irrelevant. It’s useful to someone, but it’s not useful to me.
