Since the Internet Archive has popped back into relevance tonight, just an FYI: It's one of a handful of tech nonprofits that have low-key become super important *in general* over the years, and perhaps especially this year.
I feel like there’s a story to be done on the under-recognized importance of tech nonprofits to modern journalism.

E.g.:

• Signal
• RECAP/Courtlistener
• Internet Archive/Wayback Machine
• Wikipedia/Wikimedia

See also: nonprofit outlets like AP, ProPublica, and RNS, obvi.

Might wind up as a white Christmas after all - NWS is no longer saying we can expect snow Tuesday to change to rain, it will instead likely just stay snow. Not a lot of snow, but enough to hunt Black Bart in the back yard (just be careful not to shoot your eye out).

NWS says we could get some snow Tuesday. But a white Christmas? Maybe not: Although the Greater French Toast Area might get an inch, it might also be washed out when the precip turns to rain. Still, worth an upgrade from 1 to 2 Slices.

Once again I'd like to remind everyone the plagiarism machine spits out probability outputs, not facts, and is surprisingly terrible at math problems.

As the backlash to generative AI in video games continues to pick up steam heading into 2026, it'll be fascinating to see what is considered "made with generative AI." Can a dev team say they're not using AI if they're writing design docs with Copilot or using chatGPT to make schedules and budgets?

Abolish ICE
A November YouGov poll had ICE favorability underwater by 14 points among all Americans and 37(!) points among political independents today.yougov.com/politics/art...

I try not to be a “you must study [such and such]” guy because people have their own processes, but I realllllly think people resisting ICE need to read up on Northern resistance to the Fugitive Slave Act in the 1850s.

The parallels are staggering, and strongly support @jamellebouie.net’s claim.
i really think there is legit political space for running on "we are going to dismantle ICE"
How it started vs. How it’s going NOW 👀

Bluesky is a place where trolls come to be blocked and isolated and ignored — which they hate.
