2025 in gaming has been the best year of gaming since I was a wee teenager playing with my sega Saturn and Dreamcast. The steam deck has transformed my ability to play games. That and being out of work for 9mths lol. Didn't compete everything here or anything but this has been my 2025 in gaming

I don't really have a huge problem with AI, well... LLMs. The problem is the corporations. It's just a tool at the end of the day. I can run it locally and not use chat gpt or whatever the big American corpos offer. There's open source alternatives that use as much power as me playing a game.

Got myself a yoke that plugs in the wall and gives me ethernet in the office upstairs. I can now stream moonlight to the TV flawlessly without any stutter or anything. It's so nice being able to play games on the TV like this 😁 50 quid well spent.

I'm glad Ardal O'Hanlon isn't a transphobe. I'd avoided watching Fr Ted for nearly a decade and have decided to watch it with my wife's family from Argentina and New York. They're loving it and we're having a ball!
