Trans people need to be careful about talking about DIY. Yes talk about it in the general sense, quote the facts and figures but be careful. Don't give away sources to cis folks. Don't talk to journalists about the details. They're coming for it.

I don't understand why so many powerful people hate & harm us so much every day in so many facets of life. Even in Ireland which has escaped much of the bs going on in the UK&US nearly 40% of trans people have attempted suicide. The ambivalence, malaise & inaction hurts most. We don't deserve this!

lovely words but what about their actions? The HSE put the head of the NGS in charge their trans research. Hillary Cass described the NGS as the 'gold standard' despite being ranked the worst in Europe. They've fluffed on hate speech, gender recognition & no ban on conversion practices yet either.

This is the same man who told me to describe my suicidal ideations to him in detail, expand on my lack of self worth, played down being sexually assaulted by the NHS and questioned why - not how - I remained sober after I mentioned being a recovering cocaine addict
