The right wingers really want to believe trans people are a fad and want to point to data thinking we are going away.

We are not going away.

If anything this shows that people are going to treat strangers asking about trans people with suspicion…

Fact Check: No, There Is Not A New Survey Showing Trans Identity Is Decreasing
The claim, which originates from far-right professor Eric Kaufmann, appears to have made a glaring error: the survey actually shows more people have come out, not fewer.

Another example of how transphobia and the brain rot it produces leads you down other bigoted pathways. It's not long before TERFs are complaining about representation or vaccines

Breaking: Capitol Police have been called after a Republican congressional office was just caught displaying a swastika.

This comes one day after group chat messages were leaked of young GOP officials saying “I love Hitler” and calling to put Democrats in “gas chambers.”

A Whitehall source said: “Unfortunately this looks like the EHRC deflecting – they still haven’t sent ministers the information requested in order to assess the draft code. The EHRC should be cracking on with their job, not giving lectures on timing while government still awaits their material” 🔥

Read this for two reasons:

1. It shows that everyone hates Wes Streeting to the point it’s actually funny.

2. It shows how absolutist and homophobic these anti trans campaigners are.

I think you can go further and say he lied.

And he continues to lie. He tells Christian publications that he doesn’t think trans people exist and then he tells Labour Party meetings he feels awful for trans people about the blockers ban HE enforces.

This is a good & interesting thread if you’re a cis person who wants to be a good friend/relative/colleague etc to your trans guy brothers:

Trans guys: What are the most annoying things cis people say to you, regularly?
solidarityqueer.bsky.social
i truly hope you're right.

There are 650 MPs and only around 80 that have co-signed any pro-trans letters since the SC ruling 😔
solidarityqueer.bsky.social
i'm in a similar boat.

received my GRC 8 years ago now and I've never felt more hopeless or scared to leave my house than in 2025.

I know there are trans-inclusive MPs, I just mean purely by numbers. I doubt we'll get a majority :(

The interim guidance has been withdrawn, but the EHRC maintain their legal position, which forms the basis of their draft Code. They argue that is the necessary interpretation of FWS. GLP disagree and that's why we challenged their interim guidance, and our case will be heard in November.
solidarityqueer.bsky.social
Thank you Jess! You're amazing x
solidarityqueer.bsky.social
i'm so confused also, now that the interim update has been removed, are we back to legal exclusion only via a proportionate means of achieving a legitimate aim on a case-by-case basis?

and the businesses and services no longer have the update to use as a source
solidarityqueer.bsky.social
do you know if we're a member of scottish greens, if we can also donate or join the GPEW just for support for the next election?
solidarityqueer.bsky.social
unfortunately there aren't enough MPs that even care enough about trans people in any party, to do the right thing.

They'll see the EHRC have drafted something and pass it without much thought.
solidarityqueer.bsky.social
and if so, virgin gyms etc that have done blanket bans, are acting illegally?
solidarityqueer.bsky.social
does this mean (until the new code is approved by parliament) that we are back to only being able to exclude trans people on a case-by-case basis?

If we’re running a letter writing campaign, why don’t we tell MPs that the EHRC is asking for their approval or rejection?
reactiveashley.bsky.social
4/ The next battle is likely to take place in Parliament, and we need to ensure the draft Code is rejected. We should start spreading the message and tell MPs that the EHRC is pushing for a vote. I mean they just released a video acknowledging that our sovereign Parliament has the final say. 🤭

1/🧵 I should note that from the beginning, I knew the EHRC would withdraw their “interim update” guidance.

My aim was to make it untenable for them to defend the position that segregation of trans people is mandatory. And I think that strategy has been successful.

That doesn’t mean we can stop.
solidarityqueer.bsky.social
Or that they’re not homophobic, “just” transphobic, when their early 2000s campaigns were ran exclusively on demonising gay marriage.

I don’t know how to approach “Republicans weren’t racist in the early aughts” as someone who went to Texas during the early aughts and had to debate whether or not Black students were “stealing” people’s spots in class.
