it is considered terrorism tlin the u$ to explain why microplastics are so common
brenttoderian.bsky.social
How microplastics may be reshaping our bodies and minds.

“The particles are in our blood, brains and guts – and scientists are only beginning to learn what they do.”

Microplastics like those from car tires. The bigger and heavier the vehicle, the more microplastics shed.
The plastic inside us: how microplastics may be reshaping our bodies and minds

the long 19th century was a time when racism was an adventure. in that age when yt ppl were at their most tricknological, quirked up kkkrackas were launching new expeditions in caucasity at unprecedented levels. this is

the yakubian years: episode iii
the mahdist war, part 1: gordon pasha
"general gordon's last stand" by irish painter george william joy. gordon and his colonial aides stand defiantly at the top of some stairs as a mob of literal spear-chucking savages overpowers them.

wallamide.bsky.social

Hello, I'm Majd. I'm writing to you today after the war ended, from the rubble of our home in Gaza. They took everything: our home, our work, and our dreams. We now live in a tent, trying to live with dignity. Your support through GFM is our only hope to start over. 💔

Everyone knows my story.
The war is over, but I still live in its ashes.
Without work, without food, without a home, we live in a tent, struggling to survive with my tears.
Please. don't let me fade away after I survived.Donate and share. Don't let my children go without food again

Omg. I just seen a post about yt people being scared of land back and a response to “but where would we go?” Was “I dunno to therapy” and it’s priceless in using that from now on.

The holiday began with a sunrise ceremony on Alcatraz, after which the American Indian Movement disrupted a planned reenactment of Columbus's landing. Later, hundreds gathered on Sproul Plaza where Indigenous rap group With0ut Rezervation performed
wallamide.bsky.social
"yeah what happens to them in the multicultural indigenous society after colonialism no longer divides us, i wonder"
wallamide.bsky.social
until you do this, you are a sleeper agent for the bourgeoisie waiting for the trigger phrase to commit genocide

settlers cannot be effective "leftists" until they are actually engaging with unlearning the settler ideology the settler bourgeoisie has forced into their minds and they have so benefited that they have chosen not to question it for fear of losing the privileges it brings
niiyokamigaabaw.bsky.social
This history is why I get wary when settlers on the left dismiss Indigenous sovereignty and the prospect of Land Back (which admittedly is very poorly defined) as ethnonationalism because it is based in settler logics around ultimate control of land.

Tbf it's not really that slippery. it's only hard to define cuz so many refuse to define it so they don't upset the white folks. It's not a nebulous thing and we have plenty of real world examples. people tip toe around Indigenous control of the land so hard it's become an abstract metaphor

Blood and soil comes from German ideologies in the 19th century that pushed for a return to rural areas and an embrace of agrarianism, something the Nazis took up as part of the ‘philosophy’ of Lebensraum, an extremely settler colonial ideology if there ever was one.
