#speirgorm looking for a favour. Would anyone be willing to show me what an Irish Gender Recognition Cert looks like, by dm if preferred? When I search online I'm flooded with awful TERF stuff. I want to make Son's birthday cake look like a GRC, as being able to apply is the highlight of turning 18!

Our polling station doesn't usually ask for ID so if yours is the same, I'm going to echo the woman and say it should be fine. Definitely worth a try anyway. Probably too late to do anything else about it.

Thank you! It's very exciting but also a bit nerve-racking timing-wise as he has just done an early entry UCAS application so he's put his details in as they will be, not as they currently officially are, and now we will have a scramble to get everything sorted before offers and CAO deadline.

My pronouns are she/her/hers. My son's are he/him/his and this is a big week as he turns 18 and can get his GRC so his gender and name will be correct on his official documents. But all the decent people in his life have been respecting his pronouns for years. It's not hard, just manners. #speirgorm

Referring to people by their preferred pronouns is respectful and provides dignity. International Pronouns Day started in 2018 and has occurred on the 3rd Wednesday of October ever since. This year it falls on the 15th of October.

It's frustrating, isn't it? I'm always a bit borderline on iron levels and finding a good vein so I always feel like cheering when I get to donate, but I'm out of action at least til January.
