A scribbling, squabbling, strácáiling eejit, that got blown along the N20 and out to Cork City, Ireland. Bestselling co-author. Foghlaimeoir, bleeding-heart, AuDHDer. Opinions my own. Check https://www.linktr.ee/mike_mcgb for latest scut-acting.

It's also in direct contravention of all that 'freedom of speech' stuff they've imported.
Britain never did grow out of oppressing the Irish because the country generally feels like it *should* own us regardless of all that pesky war of independence stuff
This is madness.

All books by Normal People and Conversations with Friends author Sally Rooney set to be withdrawn from sale.

The 34-year-old Irish author says: “The disappearance of my work from bookshops would mark a truly extreme incursion by the state into the realm of artistic expression.”

Too high-flying an endeavour for a Taoiseach. Has to be delegated to their major donors/sympathetic press barons!
Imagine if a Taoiseach started his own phone network and people started signing up to it. Or any other TDs! Although, I could totally see the Healy-Raes doing it in fairness #KingdomTelecom #SpeirGorm

I'm 33 and I stopped cycling at 12 because I was no longer young enough to cycle on the path, I was adult sized on an adult bike, and I never felt safe enough to even try cycling on the road. I really admire cyclists but every one I know has at least one scary story that only solidifies my decision.
👀 Can you see me now?

The importance of visibility on our roads cannot be understated, particularly for vulnerable road users including pedestrians, cyclists, e-scooter drivers and motorcyclists.

It's similar to a YouTube comments section. If it's not bots or bad actors, it's people who are so utterly convinced that their perspective is the gods' honest truth - or that they will one day no longer be temporarily embarrassed millionaires - that it's not worth it anymore.

This is so STRESSFUL
When it opens with "I am Irish-American and planning to move to Ireland" you brace yourself for A Comment And A Half.

Then you add "the Quora factor" - you are not expecting sensible chat here.

... and somehow, he still manages to shock us.

You can't actually cap migration into Ireland without:

1. Dismantling the Common Travel Area
2. Leaving the EU
3. Placing a hard border between the Republic and the North

This "population growth" argument the self-declared sensible people have come up with is in reality really extreme
