Donald Trump announces his a "trade deal" with Vietnam, which increases taxes on American consumers while decreasing taxes on Vietnamese consumers.
The zero-rate tariff offer in Vietnam was proposed on April 4. He's essentially done nothing in 3 months.

Hipkins is trying to bring NZ First and Peters onside for a coalition. But the Peters of 2025 isn't the Peters that worked with Ardern. He's had a taste of Mad King Disease and has gotten sicker, more racist and more objectionable. I'd throw /Ardern/ off the bus if she negotiated with Peters today.

Kpop boy bands constantly shoot videos in graffiti covered subway trains and stations which are just simply not a thing in Seoul and presumably elsewhere. They must go to the States or something. It's a bit ridiculous now that I've been there.

This is one of those social changes that I feel like is akin to trying to understand things at astronomical or quantum scale, or geological time. I don't know that most of us currently living in developed nations can really understand how different the past was in the regard.

This year my # 2 is in Spain spending her first Christmas without the whanau. We made her an 'advent calendar' with 25 gifts, little messages of family and love.

I don't know why but today I looked up my NZ salary in USD and I'm making roughly 15% less than I was in my 30s. I hate our economy.
