So based on both the responses in this thread and what I've seen:

Local PD was not worried about these protests and marches turning violent in any way.

YET at both Portland and Chicago ICE facilities, law enforcement continues to instigate the violent interactions against peaceful protesters.

For instance was it a lot, a little, relaxed, on edge, local or state or federal law enforcement, etc.
