Today I learned that the Superbowl didn't really have pop music acts performing at halftime until 1991, when New Kids on the Block performed. Before that it was either marching bands, Up With People, or older acts like George Burns, Mickey Rooney, Chubby Checker, Pete Fountain, Andy Williams, etc.
