Oddly, this actually makes it EASIER to renounce US citizenship. Currently you have to not only acquire citizenship in another country, but you also have to appear in person at an embassy or consulate and pay $2350. Under this, you can lose your citizenship simply by not reporting in time.
Sen. Bernie Moreno, R-Ohio, just introduced a bill to ban Americans from holding dual citizenship. The bill says that to “preserve the integrity of national citizenship, allegiance to the United States must be undivided.” It’s called the Exclusive Citizenship Act.

I've said it before but any attempt to bail out AI companies needs to be followed by a tax strike bigger than the one against the Vietnam War.
