If your ttrpg is great. Story is great, characters are great, NPCs are great, ect.
Do you actually need Side quests?
What's the point of side quests if not to stop the main event being boring?

There was cable theft and the trains to and from London were cancelled for about 6 hours while a repair took place. Which meant I had to drive to London and we got to our first planned thing with literally 1 minute to spare

If it's Agnostic it's not for any system.
But compatible with D&D and something else that like D&D just feels like spreading the butter too thin.
