Aw thanks, that's lovely to hear! What kind of stuff do you write? The excerpt is from a short story I'm writing about a woman waking up from a coma after many years.
Hi Lucy, I've been writing for a while but just moved into short story writing recently. How about you?
Thanks Kendall, I'm glad it touched you. I think it just came to me while writing.
Drag Race UK vs US follows a similar trend as well.
Good advice on the importance of randomness in spurring the creative process. Some of my short stories have happened from completely random and often inane moments.
Last month wiped me out creatively. Barely any writing.
Do you notice patterns in your periods of low-output?

Yeah, not a nice attitude. But I'd like to think the 50 year old gives zero fucks what that person thinks! Live and let live!
When it comes to #labour principles I think Glenn from The Thick of It puts it best. "over the past two years you've bent like a human fucking palm tree"

Good to see one of the leaders in this country challenging the divisive and dangerous creep to the far right. Shame he gets so little air time despite being having 18 times as many MPs as Reform.
it's the problem when a government bases everything it does in reaction to YouGov polls and not principles. Starmer never had a plan, just to be different from the Tories. He's even failing at that.
It's a bad sign for a country when you see this on Wikipedia. 2025 needs it's own page...

I was thinking about this the other day. The goal posts have moved so far to the right and the current government are doing nothing to abate that slide.
Getting people back to work? What have I been doing for the past three years? It's not been the housework I can tell you (and so can anyone who visits).
"She’s hit by a soft breeze, the earthy smell of roots. She hobbles over to the little square patch of grass, flings her slippers to one side and spreads her grey toes into the earth, stands a while rooted."

Nothing says I love you like a Tesco meal deal
Starmer seems so scared of upsetting Reform that he's complicit through silence. We're sleepwalking into a situation like the shitshow in the US when it comes to ("illegal") immigration.
Knock a door run in the West Midlands in the 1990s. I also briefly came out of retirement in the 2010s when drunk in Kensington and fuelled by 1 percenter outrage.
If she wants to "write" books that way it's up to her but I can't understand the motivation. Writing is such a personal and important form of human expression for me.
