This is really really bad. Like, you think sponsored ads on Google are annoying? Wait until ISPs throttle load speeds to websites that don't pay them for higher speeds.
A direct consequence of the Supreme Court overturning the Chevron doctrine in Loper Bright Enterprises last term. We are seriously fucked.
A federal appeals court has struck down the FCC’s net neutrality rules that prevented internet service providers from throttling or blocking content or charging more to deliver it

Part of what’s happening here is the idea that supporting candidates like Obama and Harris is itself somehow “far left” as if they never won contested elections or had any political talent of their own and supporting any prominent Black person is somehow “radical”
yeah their premise only works because theyve convinced themselves the democratic party has been catering to far left goals despite all evidence to the contrary

But no matter who wins, 2025's predictive power over 2026 is limited. The winner will claim the national wind is at their back; the loser will say there were candidate- and race-specific factors at play. Both will be somewhat correct.
Nobody cares about Charlie Kirk enough to make this kind of joke, especially since the news cycle has moved on, especially not a bunch of fucking math teachers, COME ON.

They have more important things to worry about, like EDUCATING CHILDREN

Turning Point USA continues to carry on the sainted work of Charlie Kirk by singling out innocent high school teachers for death threats.

I don't think people outside of NYC fully see how incredibly RACIST Cuomo's campaign has been. It rivals any of the most racist campaigns of the 20th century. Just racism all the way down.

TSA workers and air traffic controllers also have bills to pay and families to feed. I don't blame them for doing what they need to do to make ends meet.
If the shutdown is not resolved by Thanksgiving it will definitely not be safe to fly that weekend. Heck it's less safe now.

Talking to the 5-year-old about the election tomorrow has backfired spectacularly because she asked if she gets to vote, and I explained to her that she needed to be 18, and she is now crying and vigorously arguing that you should be allowed to vote “whatever age you are”

you don't have to put on blackface to get social media attention. you can simply develop mild depression, join a menswear forum, spend the next 15 years arguing about pants, and then weaponize the knowledge against your enemies on social media.

If you tell me you work from 5 am until 10 pm I’m going to think you’re deeply unwell, not sexy.

Those are the rules.

Let me be very clear: Donald Trump deliberately chose to stop SNAP benefits from flowing to 42 million hungry Americans.

And this is after he and Republicans cut $186 billion from SNAP in their Big Bad Betrayal Bill.

They are simply abandoning hungry American families.

no self-respecting NYer is moving to fucking texas. the tech brunchlords regularly throw tantrums and screech about leaving SF when things don’t go their way. they’re (unfortunately) still here.
They’ve all gone mad.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott: “After the polls close tomorrow night, I will impose a 100% tariff on anyone moving to Texas from NYC.”

thank you for all the support; the statement from our union is now live here with some more reporting.

now that this is public I can confirm that the majority of today’s layoffs were women of color. there are no longer any Black women working at Teen Vogue.

They're shutting down every enclave of independent and critical thought in big media.

From Vogue's announcement of its takeover:

"Teen Vogue will focus its content on career development, cultural leadership and other issues that matter most to young people."

In other words, teaching compliance
I was laid off from Teen Vogue today along with multiple other staffers, and today is my last day.

certainly more to come from me when the dust has settled more, but to my knowledge, after today, there will be no politics staffers at Teen Vogue.
Why did y'all lay off the people who are the reason why you got this recognition?
The politics team at @teenvogue.com is what revitalized the magazine over the last decade. What the actual fuck?
