This is an amazing story. Musher @quincemountain.bsky.social was pulled from the 1,000 mile Iditarod dog sled race for falling behind. He decided to finish the race on his own anyway. And he did. What courage. What determination. What a fucking LEGEND.

Oh this is wonderful. Q did not let outside forces wreck his dream, and Pepe was by his side (or more accurately leading) throughout. What a way to turn the situation around. So proud of Q and the dogs.

So very proud to be a part of this since the beginning. It rose up from a very organic desire to do something good for a school in Nikolai and turned into do something good for a lot of schools and charities. It wasn't a one time thing, as some skeptics suggested. It's a commitment and we love it.
The #igivearod2025 totals are in! This drive in honor of Quince Mountain's #Iditarod run brought in a record $138,646, breaking the previous 2019 record of $127,500. This brings the sum total of all #igivearod drives to an amazing $525,720 to support Alaska school projects and organizations.

Presumably, the ITC has received some comments about the withdrawal of the mushers. I can't say that this press release does anything to alleviate my concerns about the process and I think it's a bit misleading to only talk about Q and Sydnie when Justin was basically forced out. #mushersky
